RELIABILITY WINS NATIONAL PRAISE

5TH YEAR IN A ROW

For the fifth year in a row the American Public Power Association (APPA) has
commended Moreno Valley Utility for continuing to provide outstanding
reliability to its customers. The Certificate of Excellence in Reliability
acknowledges MVU’s commitment to responsive, reliable service. For
2019, Moreno Valley’s average outage of just over twenty minutes was
lower than the industry national average for outages.

Additionally, APPA certified Moreno Valley Utility as a Platinum Level
Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3). The RP3 program is based on
industry recognized leading practices in the disciplines of reliability, safety,
workforce development, and system improvement. An RP3 designation is
a sign of a utility’s dedication to operating an efficient, safe, and reliable
distribution system. Being recognized by the RP3 program demonstrates
to community leaders, governing board members, suppliers, and service
providers a utility’s commitment to its employees, customers, and
community. Currently, 274 of the nation’s more than 2,000 public power
utilities hold an RP3 designation.
