Snow Day – City of Moreno Valley’s annual winter celebration included a man-
made sledding hill and the lighting of the Holiday Tree in front of City Hall. MVU
was on hand to promote utility programs to attendees.
Leadership MoVal – MVU hosts a session for emerging community leaders.
The group is given a tour of MVU facilities and informed of the utility's role as
a Public Power provider.
Key Accounts Program – Large business and industrial customers benefit
from the program as MVU staff help educate participants on efficiency and
rebate programs available. MVU proudly helps businesses remain viable in
the community.
Public Power Week – Occurring in October every year, the utility takes this
opportunity to educate residents and businesses about the benefits of living
and working in a Public Power community.
My MoVal Open House – MVU helped welcome eager community volunteers
to the City of Moreno Valley. Opportunities to serve on the Utility Commission

and utility programs were promoted to all in attendance.
DEVELOPMENT
Moreno Valley College Career Fair – Students were educated on possible
career paths within the Utility Industry and at Moreno Valley Utility. The Hire
MoVal incentive program was promoted to other regional employers as well.
Harbor Freight Health Fair – In partnership with a commercial customer,
MVU promoted utility programs and incentives.
UCR Solar Conference – To keep pace with changing industry practices,
MVU helped sponsor the UC Riverside Annual Solar Conference. Learning from
leading scholars helps MVU plan the future of energy service in Moreno Valley.
Toy Drive – MVU staff and volunteers donated toys and a bicycle to support
the Community Health Systems annual holiday celebration.
