LIGHTING THE “M”
MVU funded the LED lighting system
to illuminate the “M” on Box Springs
Mountain. This community project
was designed to enhance local events
and provide a source of civic unity and
pride. Community groups and not-for-
profit agencies are encouraged to request
lighting of the “M” in specific colors in
support of public events and festivals.
SNOW DAY
Your utility also helped to make the
holiday season extra special by sponsoring
the City of Moreno Valley’s annual Snow
Day and Tree Lighting Ceremony. Fresh
snow created a winter wonderland for
residents and visitors alike with sledding
and snow-play areas. MVU staff distributed
promotional items and discussed available
utility efficiency programs with the
community to help them save money
on their bills.
FUNFEST
MVU helped sponsor the City of Moreno
Valley’s 4th of July FunFest event. Along
with a parade and fireworks, Moreno
Valley residents and MVU customers
enjoyed the opportunity to receive
promotional items and educational
materials. MVU staff answered utility
questions and informed visitors about the
numerous incentive programs available to
MVU customers.
LEADERSHIP MORENO VALLEY
As a community partner MVU helps
cultivate future leaders in the Moreno
Valley Chamber of Commerce Leadership
Moreno Valley program. The year-long
program develops community-minded
business and civic leaders. The program
provides a behind-the-scenes view of the
City’s economic prosperity and quality of
life. MVU educates participants on the
role of Public Power in the community
and our efforts to stimulate economic
development and support our customers.
